BA in Journalism (Universidad Complutense, Madrid), BA in History (UNED) and PhD student in Spanish Philology (Universidade da Coruña), Nieves has recently completed the MA studies in Egyptology (Universidad de Alcalá) and has taken courses at the Egypt Exploration Society.
She has worked for radio, press agencies and newspapers, and, as a passionate populariser of ancient Egypt, she has published lately on the Amigos de la Egiptología blog, where she is one of the coordinators, and the Boletín MAN.
Biography
BA in Journalism (Universidad Complutense, Madrid), BA in History (UNED) and PhD student in Spanish Philology (Universidade da Coruña), Nieves has recently completed the MA studies in Egyptology (Universidad de Alcalá) and has taken courses at the Egypt Exploration Society.
She has worked for radio, press agencies and newspapers, and, as a passionate populariser of ancient Egypt, she has published lately on the Amigos de la Egiptología blog, where she is one of the coordinators, and the Boletín MAN.
Since 2023, she has been part of the Mortexvar team as a database assistant, a project that looks into the Ancient Egyptian Pyramid and Coffin Texts. She has participated in different lectures talking about a nubian collection in A Coruña (Spain).
Nieves has come to Egypt on different occasions, but the first as a member in an excavation project, and faced it with great enthusiasm and expectation, although she has participated as arqueologist in several projects in Spain.
