Mohamed Hakim is a restorer and civil servant in the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities.
He has worked at the Temple of Merenptah, as well as at the Italian Mission at Dra Abu el-Naga.
He has worked with the German Institute at Dashur and with the German Institute at the Temple of Seti I at Qurna.
Biography
Mohamed Hakim is a restorer and civil servant in the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities. He has worked at the Temple of Merenptah, as well as at the Italian Mission at Dra Abu el-Naga. He has worked with the German Institute at Dashur and with the German Institute at the Temple of Seti I at Qurna.
He has been working on the SACP project since
2006. He has been a restorer since 2000 at the Temple of Amenhotep III in Kom el-Hettan. Since 2015 he has been working on the restorations of the Temple of Luxor, including the reconstruction of the colossi of the First Pylon, among other works.
He has also participated in the reconstruction of the colossus of Thutmosis Il in the Temple of Amun at Karnak. One of his latest works is the rearrangement of the blocks of the Temple of Tod.
