Dr. Marina Esteve Pérez is an Egyptologist and researcher at the UCO Hum-940 Oriens Group. An archaeologist for more than ten years in Luxor, she has curated exhibitions such as the Tutankhamun exhibition for the CSIC.

An art historian specialising in Heritage Management and Enhancement, her doctoral thesis unravelled the secrets of the Daily Ritual at Karnak.

Biography

Dr. Marina Esteve Pérez is an Egyptologist and researcher at the UCO Hum-940 Oriens Group. An archaeologist for more than ten years in Luxor, she has curated exhibitions such as the Tutankhamun exhibition for the CSIC. An art historian specialising in Heritage Management and Enhancement, her doctoral thesis unravelled the secrets of the Daily Ritual at Karnak. She has obtained several research grants and international stays at the Universities of Strasbourg and Luxor, reporting her results in international conferences and several publications. She has worked as a teacher for various institutions and as an expert guide in national museums. Specialised for years in physical anthropology, she is a Judicial Expert in Archaeology and Forensic Anthropology, focusing on Egyptian mummification and authentication of Ancient Egyptian artefacts.
